'The potatoes in this bread makes this particularly moist with just a touch of sourdough-like flavor. This is a classic white bread with a mild, unique taste that will remind you of a continental bread. It works well for toast, meals, or sandwiches. Try it for breakfast with honey or preserves. This bread has more substance than the nearly flour only mixes often found in stores. In addition to the potatoes, it is enriched with plenty of milk, and eggs to give the bread a full, rich texture and taste. This is a great white bread. Each package contains four mixes. Each mix makes a 1 1/2 pound-size loaf. (Butter or margarine is not included) This bread keeps particularly well. Flour products dry out and become stale. Bakers often add potato flour because it is hygroscopic--that is, it absorbs moisture from the air and retards staling. Breads and pastries made with potatoes stay fresh longer.
