Originally produced by the National Biscuit Company in 1924, this wafer was part of a tin of wafers that included Ginger and Sugar wafers, now both discontinued. Other than a change in packaging, this delicious wafer is baked pretty much the same way it's always been.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fast and delicious
After years of looking for the perfect icebox cake I finally found one, just to find that the cookies I needed to make the cake were as hard to find as that right recipe. I was ecstatic to find the cookies on Amazon. They were delivered in a couple of days. The cookies were not crumbled, which was something I worried about. Thank you for stocking hard to find items.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - too much money
I looked for these cookies a few years ago, and yes, they are difficult to find. So much so, that I checked Nabisco's website, figuring they'd been discontinued. I found some yesterday at Big Lots for $1.99 a box. What a find! I refuse to pay these outrageous prices ($5.00 a box...crazy) and would substitute something else. The Famous Wafers are terrific for making ice cream sandwiches, the perfect tasting cookie. Just scoop a ball of ice cream and gently smoosh two cookies into the ball until it fills the cookies. At this point you could roll the edges of ice cream in sprinkles. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze so cookie can soften a bit. You could even dip in melted chocolate after they are frozen solid, and roll the edges in nuts if you like.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good price
Hey, the price is for 6 boxes that makes it $4.59 per box. I think thats a really good price.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful for desserts!
I used to work at a kitchen that used these wafers as a main ingredient in a simple, yet much-loved dessert. A "chocolate cookie torte" is made by layering these simple wafers with whipped topping - let it sit overnight in a fridge, and this is delectible. It tastes much like an oreo cookie, and I just found last month that a Nabisco "100 calorie pack" of oreo cookies basically consists of tiny Famous Chocolate Wafers. No wonder I like these!

If people had looked carefully at the description, they'd have noticed that the price is for 6 packages, making the boxes of wafers under $4.75 each. (I found them online for around $5 at most stores, and up to $6.95.) I have found it increasingly difficult to locate these at the store, so I'll be ordering some for certain!

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

Small and light enough for a shirt pocket, Samsung's Helix YX-M1 is a one-stop audio entertainment center with an XM radio, a digital music player, and room for 50 hours of tunes, but it comes up short on battery life.
