Editorial Product Review:

Item Description:
Honeyville's Freeze Dried Raspberries are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh product taste, natural color, and texture of fresh product in it's freeze dried state. When re-hydrated with water the product will maintain the texture and shape of fresh product, with no shrinking or shriveling. Freeze Dried and Dehydrated products are less expensive than wet pack food because you are not paying for all the water. The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is excellent. Freeze drying provides natural and additive free fruits and vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Remember Honeyville's Freeze Dried and Dehydrated fruits are stable products with a long shelf life without additives or preservatives.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fabulous Raspberries
These are just amazing! We eat them out of hand as well as adding them to cereal and baked goods. They are crunchy and slightly tart when eaten dry. Like most freeze dried fruit they can become quite soft when reconstituted but they are still far better than canned raspberries. These are not quite as good as the freeze dried strawberries but only because raspberries have larger seeds. I grew up eating raspberries right off the bushes and these really bring back memories.
The price is not high at all when you consider the cost of fresh raspberries, 8oz dry is probably equivalent to several pounds of fresh fruit. The kids also love to see them plump up when water is added its like magic. and you can always have them on hand I crushed some into a chocolate sauce and they made it taste truly magnificent. You can also use them in smoothies etc.

Customer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Very concentrated tartness
I bought a can of the Honeyville Raspberries, Blueberries, and Strawberries based on reviews, and my total satisfaction with their Steel Cut Oats (which are excellent!). While my three year old loves all three of these freeze dried berries right out of the can, I have to say the raspberries are VERY tart. It seems like the process just concentrates their natural tartness, which was a surprise since fresh raspberries usually taste somewhere between tart and sweet. I can't say that I'd buy these again. I will buy the strawberries, which are tart, but nowhere near as sour as the raspberries. The blueberries are just the opposite. The freeze drying process seems to help blueberries taste much sweeter than fresh ones, and for the price of what's you pay for the equivalent quantity in fresh berries, I'll definitely buy the blueberries again because of the cost savings (we eat these every day).

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I Am Amazed!
I was at first skeptical of other reviews stating their children liked these straight from the can as a snack...yeah, right. I stand corrected!! I originally purchased these (and the strawberries and the diced apples!) to be added to cereal and use for baking. Much to my surprise, they are SO GOOD, my children (ages 4 and 20mo) LOVE them as a snack! I would NEVER have thought this would fly with my kids as a snack...but they love them. My toddler especially. My older son loves the Strawberries and adds them to his cereal and oatmeal. I HIGHLY recommend this item. It seems a bit spendy, but you get a TON of fruit in the can for this price. I have had mine for about a month now, and we eat them EVERY day, and we still have over 1/2 the can left!
If you are considering purchasing, I HIGHLY recommend you do! You will not be disappointed!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great quality
Enjoyed Raspberries, Strawberries and Peaches (Dry freezed), the 1st two are great to add to your favorite cereal. All 3 are very aromatic, natural scent, peaches are pretty hard even taste very good. Will be back for more.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.
